Financial Systems Business Analyst
Tasks the role will be performing:
- Work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate the requirements for changes to current business processes, policies, and information systems and for the development of new business process, policies, financial systems and information systems.2. Document requirements using process models, use cases and other artifacts according to project artifact guidelines.3. Coordinate use cases, process flows and other industry standard business requirements documentation with other requirements teams for seamless process flows and system design.4. Interact with cross-functional teams (subject matter experts, developers, architects, and database) and staff to ensure requirements are thoroughly and accurately documented and to design and document recommendations that enable the organization to achieve its goals.5. Provide a weekly status report to DOL in the format specified, including issues and risks.6. Store documentation in Microsoft SharePoint and in any other format/repository as may be required.
Requirements for the position:
24 months experience working as a business analyst on financial systems.
36 months experience with data analysis, validation, and mapping. Experience must include reviewing and analyzing code and data for the purpose of reverse-engineering legacy software systems as well as the ability to write queries.
60 Months experience facilitating JAD sessions, conducting stakeholder interviews, focus groups and workshops and then analyzing the stakeholders? business needs and converting those into functional requirements.
60 Months experience in business requirements management including requirements documentation, analysis, validation, and change management.
60 Months experience in business process modeling, gap analysis, process improvement or re-engineering on IT projects, describing the ?as-is? and ?to-be? business processes.
60 Months experience in writing use cases/user stories, business requirement document (BRD), software requirement specification (SRS), business rules, traceability matrix, work flow diagrams, or other business or system requirement artifacts.
