Health Research, Inc. Health Program Administrator I in Albany, New York
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of general experience.
The incumbent in this position will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.
Work experience with hepatitis C virus (HCV) and HIV, including HCV/HIV screening, linkage to care and treatment. At least one year of experience working with populations at risk for HCV/HIV. At least one year of experience working with people who use drugs. At least one year of experience in contract management. Experience in data management and/or with datasets, including the ability to evaluate data quality, conduct and interpret data analysis, and produce written reports. Experience providing technical assistance to health and human service providers. At least one year of experience in meeting planning and facilitation, and conducting presentations, including the use of distance learning platforms and webinars.
The Health Program Administrator I is located in the Bureau of Hepatitis Health Care (BHHC) in the Division of HIV and Hepatitis Health Care. The incumbent will coordinate programs providing HCV/HIV screening and navigation and linkage to care services; participate in committees, workgroups, and meetings which contribute to BHHC goals; provide technical assistance to internal programs and external stakeholders to increase access to HCV/HIV testing and linkage to care; perform contract management and monitoring activities; coordinate activities related to the NYS Plan to Eliminate Hepatitis C, NYS Plan to End the Epidemic (ETE), and the NYS Viral Hepatitis Strategic Plan; and other appropriate related duties.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
