Junior Public Sector Business Analyst

Tasks the role will be performing:

Researches and gathers requirements by conducting individual or group interviews, distributing surveys, and reviewing documents; documents the current or as-is state of the business process or function; creates flow charts and process models describing functions; develops test data and scenarios, tests systems functions, and documents the results; develops training materials related to business systems implementation for users; writes procedure manuals; and documents business process deficiencies requiring resolution during or after implementation.

Requirements for the position:

  • Minimum of 60 months of experience eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders or system artifacts and documenting such requirements.

  • Minimum 60 months of experience preparing and executing comprehensive test plans and scripts detailing conditions to be tested and expected outcome.

  • Minimum 60 months of experience working with end-users to identify system inefficiencies, documenting functional specifications, and assisting developers with functional and technical design for medium to large scale systems.

  • Minimum 60 months of experience creating documentation related to the business process and how the system will meet the business needs, e.g., business cases, business process flows, fit-gap analyses, functional and technical specifications, test plans and scripts.

  • Minimum 24 months of experience working with public sector organizations.

  • Minimum 24 months of business analysis experience with financial and/or budgeting systems.

  • Bachelors degree

  • CBAP Cert
