CHA Consulting, Inc., is currently seeking a Market Business Development Manager for our Utilities business with assignments throughout the United States.
The Market Business Development Manager's primary role is to grow the client base of the Utilities Market in the Southeastern & Midwestern United States. The MBDM plays an active leadership role in strategy development for the market; identifying new strategically aligned target client accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Market Business Development Manager (MBDM) is responsible for identifying, pursuing, developing, and maintaining new high-profile, quality clients within the Utilities market that align with the market's growth strategy. The successful candidate will develop and maintain market-specific business plans and plays an integral role in implementing those plans. The MBDM works with Executives, Market and Operations leaders to prioritize pursuits; collaborates with Key Account Managers to nurture and grow client relationships and identify new business opportunities. The MBDM supports and cultivates synergy opportunities with other CHA business lines as well as newly acquired firms in the cross-selling of services with key client accounts.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related relevant field is required.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 7 years of experience in progressive roles.
Industry-specific professional relationships and Business Development experience is required.
Electric and/or gas delivery experience required.
Must be an articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups.
A high energy, passionate, results-oriented and team player.
Collaborative and highly skillful at building and maintaining effective working relationships throughout the organization.
Strong ability to resolve matters timely with a sense of urgency.
Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion.
Strong analytical skills, ability to see patterns, be a fast learner/thinker and a good decision maker.
Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and sound judgement. Work effectively while multi-tasking to meet a variety of deadlines.
