Oracle Technical Program Manager (JoinOCI) in Albany, New York

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

In this role you will work closely with a team of Product Managers and Cloud Solution Architects to define and implement technical programs within the OCI Customer Engineering team to move customers workloads to the cloud. This role will have the opportunity to help shape the next generation of cloud computing and influence the adoption and usage patterns among enterprise and web-scale customers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with internal stakeholders and product development.

  • Manage the development and implementation of programs, involving departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on automating Cloud adoption.

  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery.

  • Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints.

  • Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

  • Help us maintain organizational focus on the mission, innovate, and execution. Manage the development and implementation process to define the product roadmap and drive the technical direction of your product/programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 5 years developing, implementing and/or managing enterprise software product offerings.

  • 3 years in technical program/product management

  • Extensive background in software, cloud service project management.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent judgment in influence for product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

  • Excellent judgment and customer focus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Jira, and Confluence

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, SCRUM, Kanban

  • Experience in Content Management and Information Development
