- The Innkeeper is responsible for providing a luxurious guest experience from check-in to check-out, while also monitoring and managing the physical property of the respective inn at which they are working.
Full-time position requiring onsite residency between 1-4 days per week.
On-call 24 hours per day of shift to attend to guest’s needs.
Serve as main caretaker and host of the property guest experience.
Maintain essential functions of the property and supervise house at all times throughout shift.
Maintain log of daily house activities.
Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure safety and cleanliness of facilities.
Maintain a friendly and accommodating attitude for guests
Act as a resource for guests who inquire about the property, their personal stay, future trips in the area, etc.
Assist guests accordingly and tend to their specified needs throughout their stay in person and over the phone
Provide concierge services such as assisting guests with dinner and entertainment suggestions and make reservations for guests, as required
Ensure the property and rooms are guest-ready before arrivals.
Coordinate daily wine and cheese hour
Provide guided tour of individual properties to inquiring guests.
Collect payment, assign guest keys, review billing with guests, and process all check out payments
Coordinate and monitor guest check-out time
Ensure cleanliness of property, including kitchens, guest rooms, and public spaces.
Attend weekly/monthly meetings
Set up morning coffee service, juice and housemade breakfast bars. Monitor and refresh as needed throughout the morning.
Provide turn down service at night, refresh and tidy rooms, replace linens as necessary.
Assist with occasional catered functions of breakfast, lunch or coffee service for meetings
Complete other duties as assigned.
Pickup and restock house supplies such as napkins, juice, coffee, etc.
Maintain and reset standard aesthetic of rooms (move furniture, changing bulbs, etc)
- · Flexible scheduling that requires nights, weekends, and holiday shifts. · Keen ability to anticipate guest needs · Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills · Proficient in Microsoft Programs and general computer literacy · Acute attention to detail · Must adhere to a professional dress code
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field
Ability/willingness to learn local/regional history, culture, and cuisine.
Knowledge of high-end, luxury properties and operations
Hospitality experience preferred
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be available overnight and for multiple days in succession
Full-time innkeepers, those working 3 or more shifts per week, are eligible for health, dental, and life insurance, paid time off, and a 401k.
