The Process Engineer Process applies engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills to complete projects to reduce operational losses and improve process capabilities. Recommends and implements projects to improve manufacturing process by increasing output, improving quality, improving yield, reducing cost or improving product performance.
Provides problem-solving expertise on non-routine issues related to process, production and quality control for existing and new products manufactured by the Company. Supports the continuous improvement of standard operating procedures, quality management and GMP.
The Process Engineer works in various capacities, as a leader of project teams, a member of project teams, and independently, to improve operational performance through the optimization of existing or the implementation of new manufacturing technologies.
The Engineer exhibits dedication to understanding and accounting for the impact of the projects regarding the health and safety of all affected persons and the quality of product for our customers.
Required Background and Experience
BS on a STEM area, preferably mechanical, electrical, chemical or production Engineering.
Good working knowledge of statistical process control, and problem-solving tools. Six-sigma green or black belt training is desirable.
Knowledge of polymer science, manufacturing processes for extruded films and web handling processes are a plus.
Excellent communication skills: oral, written and data analysis presentation. Ability to interact with senior management, manufacturing groups and sister organization.
Experience of five years in manufacturing environment and a proven record of accomplishments for the senior position.
