TAD PGS, Inc. Quality Engineer in Bohemia, New York
We have an outstanding Contract position for aQuality Engineerto join a leading Company located in theBohemia, NYsurrounding area.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for analyzing data from production to ensure products and services perform to quality standards, regulations, and specifications. You will leverage collection and analysis of yield and performance data and technical expertise to validate process control and assist in the creation of projects to address trends. This is inclusive of trends across products, services, manufacturing processes, conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection.
Ownership of reporting and analysis of quality metrics
Compiling and analyzing data to understand trends and identify where action and focus is needed
Lead the Losses Review Board monthly to review yield, losses, scrap and rework trends and identify actions to mitigate.
Analyzing, identifying and implementing process improvements which will enhance capability and performance
Influence cross-functional teams within the supply chain to solve problems and address risk.
Initiate action as it is required to ensure project / team success (e.g. mitigate risks, problem solve, provide technical guidance, etc.)
Ensuring control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained
Supporting ERP activities as they relate to quality
Previous quality experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment a plus. Understanding of manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of first pass yield, 6M, and experience with paretos and identifying trends.
Proven facilitation and collaboration skills.
Motivated to solve problems and create out of the box solutions. Demonstrated ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Knowledge of AS9100/AS9110, Lean/Six Sigma, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality and/or manufacturing data analytics)
