Morgan Custody & Fund Services (CFS) - global leader with $22 trillion in assets under custody, provides Institutional investors access to markets worldwide for the settlement, safekeeping and asset servicing of securities, along with ancillary services such as Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Solutions. The CFS business is comprised of Custody, Accounting, Transfer Agency, Middle Office outsourcing, Foreign Exchange, and other activities related to servicing assets for traditional and alternative funds; it leverages its scale and capabilities in more than 100 markets to help clients optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance revenue through a broad range of investor services as well as securities clearance, collateral management and alternative investment services.

Role Description

The CFS Operations Change team is embarking on a strategically important global, multi-year programme to improve Operational STP, efficiency and automation. A key enabler of the programme will be the appointment of strong and experienced Head of Change in North America, to mobilise and oversee delivery of core change exercises within and beyond the region - and to work in partnership with the Global Head of Change to shape the longer-term landscape for CFS Operations.

Key responsibilities include

  • Defining and prioritizing the Change Book of Work for North America

  • Management of a team of local Change Resources and overseeing that deliverables are executed on time, within budget and to quality

  • Building strong partnerships with key executives across a broad range of functional areas

  • Participation in key executive level boards - including Change Steering committees

  • Identifying and mitigating all risks / issues and escalations

  • Presentation / communication of progress and achievements to senior audiences

  • Development of a center of excellence for Change in North America – including documentation and application of best-practice techniques and methodologies

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a strong track record of delivering high-profile and complex programs, and experience in managing a varied portfolio of change deliveries. The candidate must have experience of managing large teams, and building strong partnerships across a global business. Exposure to financial services change management is required, with exposure to Custody and Fund Services highly desirable.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with strong risk and controls awareness

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build strong partnerships with executives globally

  • Experience of managing high-profile and complex programs through to delivery

  • Capacity to manage a varied portfolio of deliveries including regulatory requirements & strategic change

  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and to fixed deadlines

  • Strong practical experience of Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
