TuneCore Content Quality Specialist in Brooklyn, New York

TuneCore is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Content Quality Specialist to join the team. As a Content Quality Specialist, you will help ensure the music being delivered by TuneCore is properly formatted, assist with escalations from our Content Review team, and be responsible for fixing and analyzing content that was delivered but did not adhere to the strict guidelines of our store partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reviewing TuneCore releases to make sure they adhere to specific content formatting and quality guidelines from distribution partners.

  • Review TuneCore releases via an audio fingerprinting process to prevent fraud and ensure metadata consistency.

  • Help with escalations from the Content Review team and communicate with customers, by email and phone, regarding formatting and potential copyright-related issues.

  • Research and find patterns to prevent unsanctioned activity. Investigate potential occurrences of unsanctioned activity and report to management.

  • Fix reported formatting errors in store backend and report to management trends on what is being flagged.

  • Analyze monthly scorecards from store partners related to content delivered with formatting or quality issues to improve company standing with stores.

  • Help prevent the ineligible sound recording from being delivered to YouTube?s Content ID system.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all activity.

  • Provide reporting on customer and product issues.

  • Work with a team on special projects as needed.

  • Report technical and communication issues in order to better service TuneCore clients.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience working in an office and/or customer service in-person, via telephone, and/or via email.

  • BS/BA degree

  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Understand the importance of good customer service, including in-person, via telephone, and via email.

  • Can manage time effectively and prioritize workload.

  • The ability to work well independently, and as part of a team.

  • An understanding of the online music industry, including familiarity with online music stores and style guides.

  • Extensive music knowledge and/or a willingness to keep up to date with current music trends (i.e. will study the charts every Monday morning). Should have a sharp memory.

  • Working knowledge of Mac, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • General familiarity with copyright is a plus.

This is an entry-level position, the salary is based on experience $30K +.
