Position Summary:

The Tech Squad Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the UBIT Tech Squad. The UBIT Tech Squad provides student personal device remediation and setup support going to all UB residences and in person on the North Campus.

In this position, you will be responsible for: Technical Support • Provide advanced technical support for student devices and technology including computers, printers, mobile, and network devices. • Perform system installations and upgrades. • Provide hardware and software assessments. • Maintain ticket tracking information using RemedyForce.

UBIT Tech Squad Management • Manages the UBIT Tech Squad team consisting of student employees. • Provide leadership, daily supervision, technical training, and acts as an escalation point for difficult issues. • Monitors and assigns daily work. • Contributes to the overall Tech Squad vision.

Technical Support Development • Assists colleagues to foster knowledge transfer and skill development. • Recommends and implements appropriate changes to increase system security. • Stays current with state-of-the-art technology.

All the duties listed above occur in a 24/7 environment, therefore, as part of your professional obligation, working extended hours, holidays, varied hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree & two years of technical experience in a desktop computing support role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in technical field
