Construction Manager - US NATIONWIDE


We are currently hiring several Installation-Construction Field Service Managers to oversee retail lighting installation projects.

These roles are immediate needs, traveling positions.

The right person will need to be open to traveling for a week at a time.

These roles will be salaried Kelly Engineering Contractors, all expenses paid.

The Construction Manager will oversee the installation and team of installers, managing activities such as: 1) making sure schedules are kept, 2) safety procedures are followed, and 3)ensuring adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures; 3 plus years of experience supervising or managing installations. Electricians that have supervised teams or someone with a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction may also be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with Project Managers in the field to manage all on-site lighting installation activities including pre-installation, execution, and project closeout.

Travel throughout the U.S., approximately 90% of time to conduct field engineering related activities and provide on-site lighting installation project management and support services.

Manage relations with customers and sub-contractors to ensure a completed scope of lighting installation and related controls work meets contract requirements.

Own all field-related project components including: contract scope implementation, sub-contractors labor scheduling, and quality control following all applicable state/federal laws, NFPA, NEC and customer requirements.

Collaborate with Project Managers to review and understand all projects' deliverables and estimate cost.

Coordinate change order requests with Project Managers and Customer Services support team.

Manage material and track inventory.

Anticipate potential problems by analyzing and mitigating risks; ensure Company's quality standard and the use of proper installation techniques.

Prepare and manage assigned projects and travel arrangements.

Collaborate with project management to establish order of project execution and coordinate changes to the project schedule.

Submit timely expense reports and self-manage efficient travel arrangements.


Associates degree in Electrical, Construction Management, or related course of study, or equivalent years of education and/or experience.

Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of experience in related construction experience.

Prefer demonstrated experience in electrical, planning, and/or relationship management.

Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.

Working knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules/regulations, and quality standards.

Prefer familiarity with construction management software packages.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Ability to plan and see the “big picture.”

Competent in conflict and crisis management.

Leadership and personnel/coaching management skills.

Excellent time and project management skills.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Exhibits proactive attitude and strong work ethic.

PMP, OSHA 30, EM-385 1-1, QCM and First Aid CPR Certifications are a plus.

Valid driver's license with clean driving records is required.

Travel Expectations:

90%+; frequent travel across the United States and Canada.
