This role will support Operational Risk Management's framework/policy strategic and regulatory initiatives with an emphasis on standardized reference data, tools and technology designed to ensure compliance with BCBS 239 and to progress Citi’s operational risk management program.
•Oversee the management of key referential data used in Operational Risk Management for various programs, management /regulatory reports and CitiRisk Operational Risk modules.
•Make changes to reference meta-data to coincide with data standards, data quality to ensure completeness, accuracy and comprehensive data in structures
•Understand and identify appropriate systems and processes working with the internal stakeholders and technology to ensure development and onboarding of data /feeds are in line with business requirements.
•Working with Stakeholders, define business requirements for CitiRisk Operational Risk Applications as it relates to standardized / normalized key referential data used across multiple modules.
•Act as the data/ rule SME to assist the reporting team in identifying errors in mappings / Meta data content.
•Actively participate in projects in support of Operational Risk Initiatives e.g. regulatory and strategic initiatives.
•Ensure the group / team consistently delivers excellence via standard measurements and adherence to best-in-class control standards
•For audits and regulatory reviews, assist in preparing deliverables
•Recommend changes to the CitiRisk Operational Risk Applications for improved efficiency and assist in various UATs.
•Perform data analysis to interpret information and propose efficiency changes to reduce risk and improve productivity.
•Working with key stakeholders, implement systems enhancements, including data conversions where needed as it relates to reference data, etc.
•Execute test plans of application enhancements that will ensure business requirements have been met including specific test cases and expected results
•Review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) to ensure they align to the needs and requirements of the organization
•Utilize standard processes throughout project development life cycle.
•Ensure the section consistently delivers excellence via industry standard measurements and adherence to best-in-class control standards
• Bachelor’s degree
•5+ years of experience in the financial services industry and prior use of GRC tools
•Experience in Risk Management, Finance, and/or Operations and Technology is a plus.
• Experience working with reference data projects / initiatives is highly desired
•Experience working with large databases and quantitative analysis. Extensive Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
• Substantial, broad knowledge of the major financial products and services in either Consumer or Institutional lines of business is required.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills; Must be articulate and persuasive.
• Self-starter with a high level of demonstrated initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to excel within a complex matrix organization.
• Must demonstrate ability to successfully engage in multiple projects
