Private Client Investment Advisor
Provides comprehensive investment management services to Wealth Advisory Services clients. Operates effectively within a professional team environment supporting the delivery of an integrated wealth management offering consistent with the financial goals of clients.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Demonstrated Knowledge of Financial Markets, WTC Investment Process and Wealth Management Offering.
Demonstrates the ability to articulate current and relevant economic, financial and market information, as well as all available products/services.
Effectively communicates Wilmington Trust's investment process from setting capital market
expectations to performance measurement and attribution.
Attends relevant training and informational meetings maintaining market, process and platform
Manages assigned book of accounts including agency, fiduciary and institutional portfolios.
Implements Wilmington Trust's investment methodology in all assigned portfolios.
Implements strategic and tactical investment recommendations in a timely manner.
Trades all types of securities proficiently.
Follows all appropriate policies and procedures.
Manages book of accounts consistent with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.
Adheres to all Wilmington Trust policies and procedures.
Completes all compliance requirements including annual account reviews.
CLIENT SERVICE & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Delivers consistent levels of service for all clients.
Maintains appropriate levels of personal interaction with clients.
Actively participates as a member of the client relationship management team. Acts as primary
relationship manager where appropriate.
Participates in sales effort.
INTERACTION WITH INTERNAL PARTNERS
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of various bank resources to facilitate client service delivery and expand client relationships.
Meet with internal partners, pre and post call planning, SPIN utilization. Act as resource to partners in the latter stage of the sales process to include: PCAs, Financial Consultant, Relationship Manager and other partners in the sales process for internal and external meetings.
Strengthen internal bank partnerships--commercial lenders, business banking, retail, etc. Notification of at-risk clients.
INVESTMENT IN SELF
Obtain professional designations such as CFA, CFP, CIMA, CAIA. Pursuit of degree programs,
continuing education and training.
Understand changes in the industry e.g., federal and state specific and expert knowledge of various government regulations.
Work effectively within a team environment, and react to change in a positive and productive manner.
Strong planning and organizational abilities, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and anticipate and set priorities, conduct effective, meaningful meetings.
Maintain positive working relationships.
Maintain highest levels of integrity and professionalism.
Participate actively in WT/WAS projects and initiatives and group meetings and calls.
Nature and Scope
Ability to communicate internally with bank management and executives and externally with clients, and their representatives.
May have work leadership responsibility.
Basic Qualifications Required:
Bachelors' degree, equivalent training and/or work experience.
Possess comprehensive industry and investment knowledge.
Fluent public speaking ability and excellent client facing communication style in 1-on-1 meetings.
Must have ability to listen and accurately interpret client needs.
Proven ability to develop relationships and interact effectively with internal and external partners.
Possess a specialized/unique skill set that can be leveraged in the sales process or when meeting with particular clients i.e. designation, license, advanced training and/or certification.
Proficient personal computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
