Delmonico's Prep Cook in Clifton Park, New York

The Prep Cook works under the command and supervision of a senior member of the kitchen staff while learning the skills essential to becoming a cook or chef through on the job training. He or she helps prepare meals by chopping vegetables, making salads, dressings, sauces, and assembling entrees. In addition, the Prep Cook helps with other tasks, including storage of leftover food and cleaning work areas.

Prior relevant experience and familiarity with basic cooking supplies and equipment is preferred. He or she must be committed to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

Our menu items are freshly prepared daily, you will be given high quality fresh product to prepare. We use time tested recipes and train accordingly, You will understand your daily responsibilities & will receive guidance & help as needed.
