Summary: Under regular supervision of the division or department manager, supports the services of the assigned providers in a diversified, high quality and confidential manner for the department. Works closely with other department staff to provide a smooth operating and efficient department, to enhance the quality of patient care.
Education: Essential: * A Highschool Diploma or GED * Associate of Applied Science
Other information: Education/Qualifications: High School graduate with administrative assistant training or AAS degree.
Experience: Minimum one year of administrative assistant experience. Bachelors degree may be substituted for one year of work experience
Skills: Ability to enter/retrieve data from personal computer using Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to prioritize work. Strong telephone skills are needed. Must have interpersonal skills to handle confidential information and sensitive situations and ability to work with diverse group of people within and outside the organization.
Physical Requirements: Stooping, bending, reaching, walking, manual dexterity and visual acuity; sitting for extended periods of time at computer terminal. Must be able to identify and differentiate colors.
