Location: This position will allow you to work from your home. Eastern Standard Time Zone preferred.

The Pharmacist Clinical, Sr is responsible for developing and implementing pharmacy programs and supporting strategies to strengthen Anthem's Medical and Pharmacy Specialty program. This position will be highly visible to senior stakeholders and will require establishing strong collaborative relationships with key internal and external executives.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and implementing strategies to manage specialty cost of care on both the medical and pharmacy benefit.

  • Must be able to research and synthesize detailed clinical data to identify opportunities or impact.

  • Must be able to manage program implementations end to end from ideation, analytics, implementation, reporting and oversight including regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for presenting to internal and external matrix partners

  • Provides clinical consulting services to client and implements clinical information and education programs.

  • Assess the current healthcare landscape to develop strategies to ensure that IngenioRx is well-positioned within the market

  • Stay abreast if the changing market landscape, maintain knowledge and expertise on new drug launches and evolving treatment paradigm.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.

  • 4 years of experience as a Pharmacist of Managed Care or managed care pharmacy experience including knowledge of specialty pharmacy - medical pharmacy and managed care pharmacy practices; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).

  • 3 to 5 years of medical specialty experience required.

  • PharmD preferred.

  • Experience with pharmacy data and analytics required.

  • Experience with medical claims and medical data required.

  • Unless expressly allowed by state or federal law, or regulation, must be located in a state or territory of the United States when conducting utilization review or an appeals consideration and cannot be located on a US military base, vessel or any embassy located in or outside of the US, unless they are command-sanctioned activities.

  • Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

  • Strong presentation skills required.
