Rapid Response Pool – St. Peter's Health Partners -Skilled Nursing Division

If you are a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Certified Nursing Assistant with experience in skilled nursing and a passion for the geriatric population, looking for floating scheduling, this could be a great opportunity. The Rapid Response Pool / Float Pool is designed to help fill short-term needs within our long-term facilities in the Capital Region. This is a new program offering great flexibility to bring compassionate and driven nurses to our residents!

  • Growing program: This program is similar to the FirstChoice program offered in our acute care division, giving "in house" rotations

  • Premium pay: Elevated premium pay for working at multiple locations and/or working at a COVID positive location causing urgent staffing

  • Minimum Commitment: No set weekend or holiday commitment requirements

  • Growth and Development: Work in a variety of practice settings and learn new skills

What you will do:

  • Work as needed and as available at a minimum of three (3) sites in our Long Term Care Division (St. Peter's Nursing and Rehab Center, Our Lady of Mercy, Schuyler Ridge, Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center, Heritage House, Eddy Village Green at Cohoes and Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck). Bedside nursing and/or Supervision would be required for those in this role.

What you will need:


  • A current license or certification to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of New York

  • 1 year or more of recent experience as applicable role in a long-term care facility

  • Work 3 shifts between 3 locations every four weeks

  • Cannot hold a concurrent position within this division


  • Supervisor/ Charge responsibilities

  • Must possess a passion for caring for seniors and demonstrate a respectful, caring, professional demeanor

  • Must have excellent communication skills, keeping in contact with direct manager and leadership at the assigned locations.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
