Verizon Learning Studio Senior Manager in Garden City, New York

What you’ll be doing...

  • Managing instructional designers, developers, graphic artists, and other L&D talent to creatively mold highly engaging and business impacting learning solutions.

  • Interfacing with Verizon professionals to manage training design and development deliverables created by Studios.

  • Supporting Verizon’s Wireline Operation Assurance and Network Organization

  • Managing the training delivery methods that focus on all aspects of learning: face-to-face, virtual live, mobile, and eLearning modalities

  • Transitioning current classroom environment to a lab environment

  • Confirming completed needs analysis

  • Leading the design and development phases in the ADDIE model.

  • Supporting any necessary “train-the-trainer” sessions for the implementation phase and support as required on evaluation gathering.

  • Leading all milestone SME and manager reviews

  • Setting schedules, managing internal and external development resources, and communicating progress and issues.

  • Using expertise to directly influence others inside and outside department and function.

  • Delivering overall program results under broad guidance.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have…

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in curriculum development for various learning delivery tools.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Masters degree

  • Demonstrated expertise with ADDIE training development model.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to quickly grasp technology and technical concepts.

  • Advanced consulting experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on-time results.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and customize activities to ensure participant engagement and knowledge retention.

  • Experience with Level Three and Four evaluations of training programs.
