This position will lead a team of annuities wholesalers covering the PA, NY, MA, RI, CT, NH, ME and Washington DC areas. The selected candidate can live anywhere within the territory

Requires Series 6/7, Series 63, Series 24/26 and State Life, Health, and Annuity license. CLU, ChFC, or CFP preferred.

Summary of Job Responsibilities: To plan, develop, implement and manage a sales/marketing program to distribute individual and group annuities, life products and other financial service products through a team of wholesalers and other sales representatives within their sales region. The following duties cover what are generally believed to be principal and essential functions of the job. Specific circumstances may allow or require some people assigned to the job to perform a somewhat different combination of duties. 1. Identify and hire a team of wholesalers in the assigned sales region to deliver financial service products to broker dealer firms. 2. Identify broker dealer firms in the assigned sales region, obtain a selling agreement and establish a liaison with the Insurance Sales Director of the firm. 3. Identify markets for financial service products and implement producers for penetrating these markets. 4. Manage wholesalers in sales region. 5. Work closely with Insurance Coordinators at top broker dealer firms in sales region. 6. Attend and participate in national and regional conferences in sales region. 7. Coordinate wholesaler activity with RPC's and RLC's in sales regions. 8. Coordinate annual wholesaler's sales plans, quotes, budgets and annual calendar for sales region. 9. Produce sales plan, budget, outlook and quotes for sales region. 10. Coordinate quarterly wholesaler meetings. 11. Produce monthly report to Sales Officer on activity, projections and needs. 12. Attend quarterly Management Team meeting of IDA Team. 13. Provide input on territory structure, Wholesaler Compensation, internal sales support and rep communication.

Effective Date: Sales Financial Services (Investment/Dealer Sales)

Summary of Job Requirements:

Education: Undergraduate studies. Technical insurance coursework preferred.

Experience: Five years of successful wholesaling experience of financial service products through broker dealer firms.

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge of investments, annuity/pension products, SEC, IRS and other regulatory requirements.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to successful apply principles of sales, marketing, and general management to address most complex sales management problems and opportunities.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Travel required.
