Citigroup Risk ID – VP – Quantitative Risk Analyst. in Getzville, New York

Risk ID – VP – Quantitative Risk Analys The VP - Quantitative Risk Analyst will quantify top risks and other material risks of the firm. This individual will evaluate alternative techniques for quantifying these risks. This individual will execute quantification analysis in effective and efficient manner. Also, this individual will work with colleagues on assessments and ranking of these risks.  This role will have a significant impact on the overall Risk ID program by completing complex deliverables and providing advice and counsel related to technology or operations decisions. The VP - Quantitative Risk Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Responsibilities: Leverage existing analysis to estimate key risk factors driving the firm’s results. Establish transparent framework for quantifying and ranking top risks of the firm. Identify time series related to identified risks and develop framework for monitoring those risks based on those time series. Develop framework for analyzing impacts of top risks and linking those to more specific risks. Create quantifications and visualizations for dimensioning various aspects of top risks. Create an internal digitization strategy and workflow for the Risk ID team to track changes over time to the set of top risks. Qualifications: 6-10 years’ experience in financial services. Ability to problem solve, sound business judgment, and demonstrated result orientation. Outstanding analytical and quantitative capabilities; history of academic and/or demonstrated professional excellence and achievement. Creativity and independent thinking. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication. Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies. Leadership presence; commands respect and will earn trust of senior leaders. Highly motivated and with enthusiasm for Financial Services industry and desire to master the business. Sound working knowledge of financial modeling and can analyze financial statements. Highly proficient in MS Powerpoint, Excel and one or more coding languages (Python preferred). Experience with Natural Language Processing / Text analysis a plus. Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters’ degree or higher.
