The following is a brief description of what is expected as a Rural Carrier Associate (RC 1) This is a non-career position which may in the future lead to a career position. 2) RCA duties include sorting mail and delivering to designated addresses on an assigned route under varying conditions; lifting up to 70 pounds. RCA's deliver mail in the absence of the Regular Rural Carrier and on an as-needed basis.
3) Must be flexible as far as work schedule, although work hours are not guaranteed. This is a part-time position; however RCAs may be required to work full-time hours in the absence of the Regular Rural Carrier.
4) Salary is $17.78 per hour.
5) Must have a valid State Drivers License, safe driving record and at least 2 years of documented driving experience. Applicant's Motor Vehicle Report will be compared to the USPS Table of Disqualifications for driving, which are not limited to moving violations (this does not include parking tickets).
SUITABILITY - If reached for consideration, you will be required to pass all pre-employment suitability factors including, but not limited to the following: Employment History background check; Driving requirements pre and post hire; Military History; Criminal Conviction History; Drug Screening, Personal Interview and if selected, Medical Suitability.
