Associated Medical Medical Professionals of NY, PLLC Chief Nursing Officer in Liverpool, New York
The Chief Nursing Officer reports to the corporate leadership and is responsible for daily oversight with direct authority for all operational nursing effectiveness throughout the locations within Associated Medical Professionals (AMP). Responsibility for clinical service quality, revenue, expense and cost control are essential job responsibilities. In conjunction with Nurse Managers: assesses plans, develops and implements business/operational strategy to meet goals. Partners with finance, Human Resources, internal and external customers such as regulatory agencies, community organizations, Board of Managers, and governmental agencies to ensure effective, efficient and appropriate processes are developed and utilized to provide services to the AMP network of services. Accountabilities include operational management, fiscal management, employee management/development, quality care improvement, risk management, compliance, vendor relationships, active communication throughout Nursing and sustainment of culture, and oversight of surgery center credentialing.
Provides overall and day-to-day leadership for the clinical aspects of the facilities with specific focus on leading the RN, LPN, and MA workforce.
Establishes and directs the nursing model to include administrative and clinical nursing procedures, clinical and operational policies and standards for quality assurance.
Participates in the development of the organization’s overall strategic objectives.
Serves as a key liaison with providers to ensure patient care is at the highest level
Assists with developing and implementing approved budgets for all Board and Divisional directed operations and creates accountability for productivity standards.
Recruits key clinical staff (in conjunction administration) necessary to operate all facilities at the highest level of efficiency consistent with achieving facility and organizational objectives.
Designs, develops and implements effective training programs for clinical staff throughout the system.
Ensures collaboration among management/co-workers to provide appropriate, effective and coordinated services to patients. Holds clinical employees accountable for quality services, meeting standards, providing exceptional patient care and meeting all outcomes.
Leadership style promotes team success within each location working in integrated interdisciplinary groups towards the achievement of goals. Mentors staff at all levels, sharing ideas, work and lessons-learned to improve processes, care and efficiency and obtain success and higher levels of service to include oversight of complex care programing.
Reviews, develops and assists in the implementation of consistent policies and procedures which will address individual site needs, meet regulatory requirements and support initiatives.
Works with facility leadership to establish operational and performance goals that are consistent with the overall operational plan.
Leads the change to ensure technology and data management play a key role in operational efficiency at meeting clinical expectations; accountable for clinical trending factors in ensuring resident care is maintained at the highest level.
Ensures the certification program for CNAs meets the highest standards excellence
Advocates for the AMP Mission, Vision and Values as a basis for success as it relates to all facets of the leadership aspect of the position.

Service Excellence: Develops and oversees strategies to insure optimal levels of patient, associate, and physician service excellence; models and influences service culture/nursing excellence. Leads the development of and feedback, exceeding customer expectations and continuous quality improvement.
Communication: Identifies and establishes effective communication processes with all stakeholders; ensures that communication is effective within/across the nursing division. Clearly and succinctly articulates issues, problems with solutions. Handles conflict directly and appropriately.
Meets regularly with the Chief Medical Officer, compliance department, Human Resources department, and the Chief Operating Officer to maintain appropriate flow of communication
Development, roll-out, monitoring, and maintenance of clinical pathways
Maintains an active role in the Advanced Therapeutics Department (research, in-office dispensing, and infusion therapy)
Oversight and redevelopment of an OSHA program meeting both safety guidelines as well as cost containment.
Oversight and development of standards for employee health. These areas need redefinition and division into clinical and nonclinical needs.
Ongoing collaboration with the Medical Director to ensure infection control standards are met, revised and updated with current state, local and federal guidelines.
Ongoing strategic planning for pandemic supplies and shortages to maintain operational needs
Supports, plans, directs and evaluates activities of Nurse Managers to meet goals in all their areas.
Establishes and monitors budgets and ensures appropriate staffing, quality, safety and customer satisfaction. Develops and meets performance-based objectives to achieve goals.
Works collaboratively with the workforce to ensure that clear objectives are set and achieved through negotiations, coordination of the applicable contract expectations and building a positive labor/management relationship focusing specifically on clinical outcomes.
Supports and encourages staff development for co-workers (including direct reports) to grow in their careers with mentoring, educational and learning opportunities.
Evaluations are based on individual performance as well as the performance of the organization.
This position highlights the critical senior level leadership that is required to maintain the quality patient care and nursing staff at AMP. Acknowledging the unique nature and complexity of operations while ensuring their clinical integrity and maintaining regulatory compliance will enable a dedicated focus on excellence in care.
Licensed registered nurse in the State of New York, or eligibility for transfer
Undergraduate or graduate degree in nursing- Master’s preferred
At least seven years of progressive nursing leadership experience
Evidence of effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated strategic talent, operational skills, and effectiveness in leading change
Evidence of ability to effectively develop and coach clinical teams
Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
