Lockheed Martin Facilities Electrician in Liverpool, New York

Description: Perform all facility maintenance and facility support functions including electrical maintenance and installation. Work as a member of a high performance, customer-oriented, proactive team. Maintain accurate records. Install, test, and maintain heavy duty and high-power electrical systems including distribution and substation equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot large capacity building HVAC systems, plumbing systems and electrical systems, etc.

Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment. Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.

Keep facilities, material and work area orderly, exercising care in their use, maintaining general good housekeeping practices, and conforming to all ethics, health, safety, compliance and quality requirements.

Perform all electrical maintenance, installation, and related work. Includes high-voltage circuits, troubleshooting, etc. May direct others. All other duties as assigned.

Posting is for any shift. Potential for either 1st or 2nd shift.

Basic Qualifications:

•Candidate must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

•Candidate must have Journeyman status in the Electrical Trade

•Candidate must have electrical experience working in an industrial/commercial environment

•Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

•Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation

•Candidate must be able to operate a variety of hand tools and power tools

•Candidate must be able to operate single person/scissor lifts

•Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any required certifications

Desired Skills:

•High School degree or equivalency

•Electronics/Electricians background desired

•Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and installations

•Strong communication skills

•Must possess basic computer skills

•Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints

•Must work well with others, as well as by yourself
