Eligibility: Our next Graduate Program launches in 2020. We’re looking for final year students who are working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full time graduate role commencing in the summer of 2020.

The role

The IHS Markit Lead Generation Sales team is a centralized team that spans across that vast array of products and services within our Financial Services division. Members of the Lead Generation Sales team are exposed to an incredibly broad and diverse group of teams within our firm across relevant business, sales and operations teams. Current full-time team members consider one of the greatest benefits of working on this team to be the guidance and learning that take place, and the career options that exist after their tenure on the Lead Gen Sales team (typically 12 months). This team is the entry point for successful candidates who are looking for a supportive learning environment, while also generating sales opportunities for our team. During their tenure on the Lead Gen team, we work constructively to find an exciting next career step into relevant roles in the within broader sales team in IHS Markit’s Financial Services division.

Our goal is to provide team members with the most exposure, guidance and learning opportunities, while they create tangible benefits to our clients and our firm.

Typical day to day functions include:

  • Learning IHS Markit’s wide range of products and services

  • Working on presentation skills, using learned product knowledge as examples

  • Analyze existing & potential customer lists and identify best targets.

  • Qualify potential customers and distribute to sales teams for follow up.

  • Work with sales team to follow up on opportunities to collect pipeline and forecasting data.

What we're looking for

To be an ideal fit for the role, you'll have:

  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) completed no later than September 2020

  • This program is aimed at graduates with 0-12 months relevant experience

  • Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • An ability to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment

  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting

Application and assessment process

You may be considered for multiple suitable roles throughout this process. If these roles fall within the same stream, you will be assessed during the same process. If the roles fall across multiple streams, you may be asked to complete different assessments aligned to those roles.

We recruit on a rolling basis and most of our assessment days are due to take place in late 2019. We recommend early application.
