The telemedicine program utilizes digital systems such as computers, the internet, and telecommunications for the delivery of healthcare services; namely, health assessments, consultations and follow-ups. It allows healthcare providers to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients without the need for an in-person visit, providing patients with a higher quality of life during their cancer care. The aim of the program is to develop comprehensive center-wide telemedicine services to enhance the ability of providers to care for their patients while improving the lives of cancer patients during their treatment. You will work with a dynamic team of providers, information systems experts, data analysts, and health informatics personnel to aid in the development of this exciting new care initiative. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Director of Teleoncology, Dr. Christian Otto.
Detail-oriented in your approach; demonstrated in your work, correspondence and written communication

Assist the telemedicine staff in various department projects and coordinate related timelines and logistics
Prepare, proof-read and process documents for approval and/or distribution utilizing office automation (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Create, manage and maintain neat, organized, accurate and up-to-date filing systems for the administrative office
Track expenses of staff; process payments and reimbursements. Assist with scheduling and making travel arrangements, meetings and other tasks delegated by the Director and other staff within the department.
Perform various clerical duties to contribute to the smooth operations of the Department’s office in support of faculty and staff.
Prepare purchase requisitions and work orders and process invoices for payment
Gather information and perform data entry in timekeeping and payroll systems
Create and distribute email communications including notifications, announcements and invitations
Work Hours: Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility as needed.
High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to multitask in a high-volume office
Must be able to work independently under general supervision
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with healthcare preferred
Experience or interest in IT a plus
