The New School Alumni Engagement Manager in New York, New York


Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, the Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting essential events led by the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Programs team. S/he will manage event logistics, alumni benefit fulfillment, and frontline constituent service support.

Under the guidance of the Associate Director, s/he will also be responsible for developing opportunities to prepare and educate students for their transition to New School Alumni.

 Administer The New School Alumni card and benefits program, including processing requests and fulfillment, reporting metrics, and maintaining agreements with internal and external partners  Research best practices for alumni benefits programs, and present creative and cost-effective ideas to expand the program and alumni participation  Manage logistics of events, including registration, facility work orders, nametags, and other essential details led by Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team  Design, set up, and operate the Grad Week Alumni Booth, and seek and staff opportunities for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving presence at key student events throughout the year, including (but not limited to) career fairs, athletic events, and Parent and Family Weekend.  Coordinate with Advancement Services to update alumni contact records, event attendance, volunteer involvement, affinity coding, and career data ensuring accuracy and correct formatting  Provide frontline constituent service support including welcoming visitors, maintaining the alumni inbox and phone and deliver timely and effective follow-up to inquires  Perform all other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree  2-3 years working in alumni relations, development, or marketing, preferably at a university or cultural institution  Proven experience managing complex projects  Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Powerpoint  Experience with HTML, digital design, email service providers  Excellent written and interpersonal communication  Knowledgeable working with databases, Banner preferred
