Responsibilities

This Associate position in CIT Sponsor Finance provides the opportunity to work within a team construct to assist in the credit underwriting and portfolio management of diverse debt solutions for middle-market companies supported by private equity ownership. Specifically: (i) LBO Financing, (ii) Acquisition Financing, (iii) Debt Refinancing, and (iv) Recapitalizations.

  • Analyzing detailed business and financial information of prospects- Working with potential borrowers, private equity teams, other Lenders, and other members of CIT underwriting team to execute approval and closing of new and existing business opportunities- Producing and discussing transaction approval documents- Building detailed financial/cash flow projection models- Conducting transaction due diligence, including review of data room files- Performing valuation analysis, conducting independent industry research studies and presenting findings to team and Credit Committees- Managing accounts post close

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with courses relevant to business and financial analysis.- 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial environment- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills- Excellent oral and written communications skills with attention to detail- Organizational and time management skills necessary to handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint- Strong attention to detail- Ability to function independently and within team construct- Strong work ethic
