DoSomething.org Campaign Strategist Temp (Part-time) in New York, New York
We?re looking for a creative, innovative strategist to support our team by creating compelling campaigns that help solve the societal issues most pressing to young people. You?ll bring a fresh perspective on how we can create campaigns that achieve measurable impact, resonate with young people, meet the criteria set forth in our campaign rubric, and hit our organizational objectives and corporate sponsors? goals.
Your main objective in this temporary role is overseeing Campaign Creation. Your main responsibility will be to create and pitch ideas for all levels of campaign development and implementation. You will synthesize the ideas from the brainstorms you host as well as do solo ideation to flesh out ideas and come up with unique, exciting campaigns that fit within DoSomething?s model. Within this objective you will also be responsible for:
Research. You?ll research issues that our campaigns aim to fix. Before proposing a call to action, you will have vetted the impact through thorough research and conversations with strategic partners. You?ll also gather youth insights to determine if a call to action is accessible, compelling, and shareable among a 13-25 year old audience. This includes running user-testing and member-surveying.
Design. As needed you will work with our Graphic Designer to create assets that illustrate key components of campaigns you?ve created.
Acting as the Campaign?s Team?s Biz Dev Liaison. DoSomething?s Business Development team will provide you with a brief outlining the type of campaign a potential corporate sponsor is interested in. You?ll lead a cross functional team in the campaign creation process and oversee the development of the campaign proposal.
Creating and Adhering to Timelines. Our campaigns process is collaborative and aims to involve many staff members in ideation and feedback. Once Biz Dev provides a campaign brief for ideation, the strategist will be responsible for creating a more detailed timeline of when certain activities and deliverables will be completed to ensure we keep pace with a external partner deadlines.
Start Date: Immediately
End Date: TBD ? contractor will be engaged on a ?per brief? basis. The relationship can be reevaluated once each brief is completed and can extend for a long- or short-term period, pending mutual interest by DoSomething and the contractor.

On-brand over the phone and in emails

The contractor should be proficient with:
Email and phone etiquette, in the DoSomething voice
The contractor should have a solid understanding of
social, SMS, email, web, and emerging technologies
Paychecks will be distributed: Bi-weekly on Fridays

Data is collected for evaluation criteria when seeking employment at DoSomething
We will only use your data for what was originally intended -- for purposes of seeking and gaining employment at DoSomething. Your data will not be ?recycled? for marketing emails or to sell to third parties.
How long do we retain this data?
DoSomething will retain candidate profiles for 3 years.
Annually on August 1, candidate profiles from 3+ years prior will be entirely deleted from our system.
Is your data secure?
- JazzHR maintains secure job board pages. Job boards will default to HTTPS. Additionally, if we were to terminate our contract with JazzHR our candidate data is deleted from JazzHR?s systems in accordance with JazzHR?s Terms of Service.
