Toppan Merrill Client Services Specialist - 3rd Shift in New York, New York
The Client Services Specialist converts documents from various formats to EDGAR-compliant format (HTML), as well as edits documents per client markups or tracked-change Word documents. Regular communication with clients via email and phone regarding EDGAR jobs is necessary. This position involves client interaction and a very friendly customer service orientation.
Converting and editing Word, Excel, PPT and PDF documents to EDGAR compliant format (SEC acceptable HTML format) for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Process edits to documents accurately and in a timely manner, minimizing errors.
Contact clients concerning possible errors in filing, such as incorrect dates, missing signatures, missing exhibits, insufficient funds in SEC account, etc.
Work closely with Manager to determine priorities and workflow.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
Client relationship management to effectively communicate SEC compliance requirements and filing deadlines.
Possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear, understandable manner for customers.
Proactively reach out to customers and effectively address any needs that arise.
Understand EDGAR process and lifecycle (document conversion, formatting, filing).
Upload and track documents,
Submission header builds and checks - Quickly identify document types and required submission changes.
Maintain composure and professional demeanor under pressure while adhering to deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow directions and company guidelines.
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university preferred
Microsoft Office programs
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PPT
Experience with GoFiler software preferred
Familiarity with Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop)
Strong keyboard/typing skills required
SEC compliance (form-type) and XBRL knowledge a plus
