Revlon Digital Category Analyst (Amazon) in New York, New York
*This position can be located in Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Rogers, AR; Franklin, MA; Edison, NJ; and Pembroke Pines, Florida.
The Amazon business analyst will serve as the Amazon team’s technical expert and help drive Revlon’s growing business.
The majority of this person’s time will be spent driving action in Retailer portals (Amazon Vendor Central), the Amazon site and assisting with internal processes and procedures. The Amazon analyst will extensively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
- Achieve Growth and Profit Objectives: Support the Amazon team in achieving its annual business plan targets inclusive of catalog management, new item listings analytics
Analytics (Business Planning & Financial Reconciliation):
Develop and present fact-based business analytics for the Amazon portfolio spanning Mass, Luxury and Pro.
Function as the data expert to support the internal team in all selling processes, forecasting Consumption, Gross Sales, Loyalty, and promotions.
Updating Key Business Reports – Weekly Consumption, On hand inventory, Dynamic forecasting (Investments and Forecasts), Ad Hoc Tracker (Promos & Activations).
KPI Tracking – LBBX, Rep OOS, Glance Views, Conversions, etc.
Track performance of all new items and recent assortment additions.
Develop predictive models and reporting tools using internal sales data and vendor related data for forecasting and uncovering trends and insights.
Proficiency in Amazon’s Vendor Central.
Play a key supportive role in building the annual business plan based upon analytical review of historical and competitive data and strategic direction for the category, brand and customer.
Analyze current and historical customer data and formulate customer presentation materials to internally support sales and marketing.
Provide analyses of promotional performance to drive future decision-making and support development of optimal promotion and media calendar:
Work collaboratively with Revlon Customer/Marketing team to analyze and track results of key initiatives to develop recommendations of changes to promotional mix;
Monitor and track distribution and online content for all brands with recommendations for changes and improvements.
Assist in gathering pertinent info and data for key account meetings/presentations, T2T (top to top), JBP (joint business planning) & MBR (monthly business review).
Collaborates with cross functional partners to deliver Amazon applicable insights and performance data.
- Undergraduate, business preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of business analysis experience supporting CPG sales team(s).
Experience working in an analytic or category management role with Amazon or other digital retailers.
Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and Vlookup), PowerPoint (graphic presentations) and Word. Knowledge of Access preferred.
Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data and apply against business plan/opportunities.
Ability to create ad hoc reports spanning consumption to shipments to other various KPIs.
Ability to develop selling story/recommendations as output of analysis.
Experience with analytic/consumer insight tools (i.e. AC Nielsen, Loyalty, specific customer databases, etc.)
Knowledge of technologically driven financial analysis (ie. ROI, Pricing/Margin implications)
Must be able to work independently and demonstrate organization skills and agility to determine prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast paced, dynamic team environment. High energy and motivation needed.
Must have strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
Must be creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations, with a focus on execution
Proficient in Amazon VendorCentral skills
