The Positon:

The Director of Systems Training (Commercial) will be a key member of the Talent Development team, responsible for the design of global training strategies across the Commercial business domain. This role will establish the training strategy & approach for all areas of the Commercial work stream, including all direct systems, relevant business processes and indirectly connected systems (SAP, GTN, Centric), expanding in alignment with TPG roadmap. This workstream includes retail, wholesale and ecom channels.

The Director will work with senior level cross-functional business partners within the domain to define future state systems and processes, evaluate business impact, assess training needs, design training strategy, guide creation of individual programs, and support team in facilitation and deployment of the strategy, based on scope of deployment.

The ideal candidate will take an enterprise-wide mindset to their work, manage multiple projects across the domain, and build strong partnerships with key mid and senior level stakeholders across TPG, Business Process, Change Management and global brands. This person will support creation of end-to-end processes, will identify key points of system connectivity, and will lead all training strategy and execution, from initial assessment through end user adoption.


  • Develop and execute short and long-term training strategies, inclusive of measurement strategy

  • Responsible for domain training strategy, design & development to align to organizational needs and to drive adoption

  • Assess change impacts and user knowledge gaps, define and design training curriculum, lead direct reports to create training modules and related materials to support implementation and adoption of enterprise system

  • Develop thorough and effective training communication and training assessment programs

  • Establish robust Business Power User and onboarding programs, as needed by region

  • Develop hypercare and steady state support strategy

  • Facilitate effective end user training (classroom, virtual) for Business Power Users & End Users, in partnership with Training Manager as appropriate

  • Define and oversee timeline for training design, development, and delivery

  • Build strong partnerships with key mid and senior level cross-functional partners



  • 10+ years of experience in creating training program strategy, design, development and implementation

  • 5+ years of experience in systems and/or technical training program development

  • 5+ years of experience facilitating classroom and virtual training sessions

  • 4+ years effective supervisory experience

  • Managing global training projects and programs with multiple senior level stakeholders

  • Evaluating training effectiveness measures

  • Experienced instructional designer, systems training required (SAP preferred), including ILT, vILT, elearning, and microlearning content

  • Experience in retail or wholesale environment required

  • Experience in consulting or advising a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business, Organization Effectiveness, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or I/O preferred

  • Master’s degree preferred


  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, strong indirect influence skills and effective executive presence

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong retail business acumen

  • Exceptionally presentation and facilitation skills

  • Broad knowledge of effective content authoring tools and effective deployment programs

  • Highly proficient in LMS management (Workday Learning preferred)

  • Extremely detail oriented, yet highly flexible

  • Strong time management and prioritization capabilities

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills


  • Multiple brand offices within NYC, Bridgewater, NJ

  • 10- 15% global travel based on project requirements (Asia / Europe)
