About Analytics

The Equity Analytics team is the core team for Pre/Post Trade Analytics for the Equities Cash business in Barclays. The team works closely with the Trading platforms and the Sales Desks to provide portfolio analysis and real-time/post-trade analytics. The team works on building the platform and improving the technology stack to calculate and distribute analytics.

The team is a business facing group which closely works with the Front Office and Quants teams. Due to the nature and the volume of the trading and the criticality of the Transaction reporting, the IT function is critical.

Overall Purpose of role

The purpose of this role is to build the Front-end technology stack to display the analytics generated in the backend. The framework will handle both the real-time push and the historical pull. The role will involve migrating the existing applications to HTML5 and building new front-ends for Strategic applications.

Your Role (Key Accountabilities)

· Delivery of the HTML5 front-end extensible framework to handle real-time messages · Migration of Existing Real-time Legacy system to this Strategic HTML5 framework · Provide full transparency of the project and manage the timeline by decomposing the project into manageable and measurable tasks · Delivery of the project on-time is the key to ensure the technology deliverables are in line with the business expectations

Basic Qualifications/Skills**

· 4-year Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering degree · 4 years demonstrated strong Java core skills and front-end skills · 3 years of Core Java experience with knowledge and experience of various frameworks

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

· Hands on working on core competencies, latest frameworks, End to end delivery experience · Extensive experience with HTML5, REST, React JS, Node JS · Detail oriented and proven ability to understand business requirements and transform into fully functional technical solution
