Description

As the Jordan Territory Senior Analyst – East / NYC, you will help the East Planning and Sales team drive a healthy and sustainable marketplace by balancing sales and inventory levels across a dynamic and varied account base. You will be at the heart of the North America key city offense focused on supporting the Jordan sales team with insights derived from analyzing the East and NYC business as they work to manage the marketplace – this involves supporting strategic projects as well as ad-hoc analysis that can be translated into immediate business action. You will leverage the current tools and data, conduct your own deep dive analysis and identify business opportunities within the market as well as help create streamlined processes to enable speed to decision making within the territory. Collaboration with the Sales, Business Planning, Merchandising and Analytics teams to help you drive better marketplace management recommendations will be the key to your success.

Representative projects include:

  • Managing and enhancing the Jordan product process through collaboration with Sales, Merchandising, Sales Planning and Analytics teams to streamline and infuse insights into current process:

  • Supporting order management regarding allocations and additional Requests

  • Spearheading roll up conversations on opportunities pulled together from planning team and collaborating with other territories for more impactful enterprise requests/actions

  • Tracking our progress on net revenue and bookings as a total territory and collaborating with Finance.

  • Analyzing selling trends across NYC and geographic territory to identify areas with have growth potential and profitability.

  • Collaborating with the analytics team on marketplace capacity work that is being conducted and infusing into marketplace management conversation and decision making process

This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with strong technical and analytical skills, high detail-orientation and excellent written and verbal communication. Candidates with retail planning or business analytics experience in a retail environment preferred. The right individual will be on top of retail trends; understand the intricacies of a wholesale vs retail model and understand the opportunities that can drive the Nike brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (anadditional 2 years of experience in lieu of a degree).

  • Minimum 4years of relevant professional experience with an emphasis on Retail businessplanning, reporting and analytics required.

  • Affinity forbusiness reporting, analysis, and working with large amounts of data required

  • Provenability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze and makerecommendations required

  • Moderate toAdvanced Tableau and Excel skills preferred

  • Strongpresentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills,including development of management presentations required.

  • Demonstratedability to use data to influence decision making.

  • Strong teamplayer with the ability to develop strong partnerships across a multi-layeredorganization required.

  • Will oftenfocus on customer door level detail, SKU productivity, category stock and salesanalysis, and marketplace performance

  • Specific WorkExperience Project Management and problem-solving skills a must

  • Self-starter/solutions-oriented mentality that identifies business opportunities and executeson how to best quantify and capture the opportunity.
