We are currently looking to add our team with an exciting opportunity as a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative at Demetriou General Agency, Inc., an Acrisure Agency Partner.

DGA provides a comprehensive product suite in both commercial and personal lines. We pride ourselves on service. The agency was established in 1925 by the great grandfather of the agency?s current principals. DGA is located in Downtown New York. The wholesale agency is a leader in property and casualty insurance.

The Personal Lines CSR is responsible for supporting the activities of the Personal Lines Account Team. This position will be expected to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous support service to clients and coworkers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comparative quotes utilizing online rating systems with carriers or through accurate applications to be submitted to carriers

  • Process endorsements, and policy changes

  • Ensure the accuracy of all information downloaded by broker and carriers into the Agency Management System.

  • Enter accurate data into agency management system in timely manner

  • Communicate with brokers on day-to-day activity in a professional manner

  • Address any Billing questions

  • Enter new broker information into agency management system

  • Transfer new business opportunities to the appropriate Personal Lines Account Executive

  • Manage activities in agency management system in timely manner

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent, required

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in an office setting, required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, preferred

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License, preferred

Technology Skills:

  • Strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

  • Vertafore AIM, Imageright or similar agency management software experience, preferred

  • Experience with using carrier online portals/systems. preferred
