Python Developer

job summary:


  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record (5 10 years) of designing and developing medium-to-large scale, high performance, multi-tier applications, as well as experience with API development.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Python development

  • Strong experience with Cloud Container deployment, Microservices API

  • Experience with Java, J2ee, Spring Boot, RestAPIs, Java Script, Angular, React JS, Responsive Web Development

  • Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions.

  • These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.

  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies.

  • May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of modern CI/CD approaches (preferably with Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, Ansible, Sonar & test automation)

  • Commercial experience applying containerization (familiarity with Docker, Kubernettes / OpenShift)

  • Strong knowledge and experience of relational database design and SQL (Oracle preferable)

  • Experience in Agile software development principles and practices

skills: Desirable

  • Knowledge of equities and/or prime brokerage / securities finance a plus

  • Knowledge of the trade lifecycle (Trading, Middle Office, Settlements) a plus

  • Java
