Advertised Summary Job Description

An organized and enthusiastic clinical research assistant (RA) is needed to assist with clinical research studies for the Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center in the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics. The RA will report to the medical directors of the Center, the Center Research Coordinator and the Division Administrative Manager.

Primarily responsible for subject screening and recruitment, obtaining informed consent, administration of surveys, and assisting with data collection, chart reviews, and basic data analysis for CP Center studies. For studies involving the Institute for Genomic Medicine Study, will assist with comprehensive electronic medical record reviews for subject screening and processing and tracking of biological samples, with updating tracking systems. Will provide assistance to study PIs and CP Research Coordinator in the preparation and submission of abstracts, manuscripts for publication, and grants to sponsors. Will assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol creation and submission, informed consent development, completion of appropriate HIPAA Forms and Data Usage Agreements, submission of renewals, modifications, close-out reports, assuring that studies are being performed in accordance with IRB policies, and maintenance of data and study files.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Bachelors degree is required.

Proficiency in Windows operating systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
