What you will do:

Sterling National Bank is looking to expand Investor relations (IR) function. IR has a strategic management responsibility that aims to integrate finance, strategy, communication, marketing, and corporate governance compliance to facilitate the most effective interaction between a company, the financial community, and other related parties. The role will perform various financial and strategic analyses and procedures to support leadership decision making for the Bank across a wide array of corporate functions. In this position, you will work closely with senior leadership in a highly visible role within the organization as part of the Corporate Development team. Some of your essential activities span investor relations, corporate development, strategic planning & forecasting, capital stress testing, and M&A transactions.

Core Job Responsibilities/Key Activities/Elements:

  • Manage all aspects of Investor relations (IR) function.

  • Corporate financial analysis, control, and planning.

  • Build and manages financial and operating models and valuation analyses.

  • Capital stress testing.

  • Reconcile and performs financial review of internal accounts by integrating data from assigned business units.

  • Prepare and analyze required weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual external and internal financial and statistical reports.

  • In conjunction with Chief Corporate Development Officer, develops and implements various department operating procedures and policies to comply with established internal and external rules and regulatory mandates.

  • Ensure that appropriate Risk Management policies, procedures, processes, and standards are incorporated into daily assignments and work flow processes and is responsible for maintaining high levels of awareness as related to the Bank’s Risk Management policy.

  • Attend external/internal seminars, conferences, training, meetings, etc. to expand professional expertise and develop and maintain professional contact in support of assigned functions.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills

  • For this position, you must have at least 3 years of experience in Corporate Finance and/or Investor Relations.

  • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration

  • Basic understanding of database/data management principles necessary.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
