ABOUT THE JOB
The Cedar Knolls House Hard to Place Group Residence serves girls ages 12 to 21 who exhibit a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges stemming from acute and/or chronic traumatization. All of the youth are referred by the Administration for Children's Services. The Group Residence provides supervised living units and programs of therapeutic and recreational services that emphasize family interaction and strengthening of community support networks, as well as increasing independent living skills. The goal for all of our youth is to transition them back to the community within a year of placement to a family member, significant adult connection, achieve housing,
higher education, etc. All treatment team members work to ensure that youth and families drive the focus of their treatment and are full-time partners in their own healing and recovery.
The Administrative Social Work Supervisor will be responsible for direct care, oversight of administrative and clinical supervision and staff performance evaluation in the Clinical Department. The position requires familiarity and compliance with all relevant regulations in the ACS Foster Care System. All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the standards of regulatory bodies and of The Jewish Board.
The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented professionals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required; Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), pending LCSW exam, will be considered.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong computer proficiency
Minimum 4 years' experience in Child welfare, with at least 2 years supervising staff
Valid NYS Driver's License
