JPMorgan Chase Software Engineering in New York, New York

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you have hands-on experience building a web application at all the three layers - UI, service and database. You are expert in building modern single page UI applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You have designed and implemented REST APIs. You have knowledge designing and querying both relational and NoSQL databases. You are responsible for troubleshooting and debugging application at all layers and you take end-end application ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Design and write code for web/mobile using JavaScript, HTML and CSS that scale to high-volume production quality

• Design and implement secure and robust REST APIs using Java, Maven and Spring Boot

• Design scalable and extensible relational and NoSQL databases

• Engineer a world-class platform with an eye towards rapid iteration and creative problem solving.

• Prototype creative solutions quickly, and be able to collaborate with others in crafting and implementing your technical vision

• Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing JPMorgan technologies and infrastructure

• Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

• 10+ years of experience in IT industry and 8+ years of strong web development experience

• 5+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS, OO JavaScript, AJAX, Angular and/or React

• 5+ years of experience writing REST/SOAP services with Java, Maven, Spring MVC and Spring Boot

• 5+ years of experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB or Cassandra

• Experience deploying application to the cloud using AWS, Azure or CloudFoundry

• Familiar with messaging frameworks like MQ and Kafka

• Experience in creating and maintaining containers with Docker and Kubernetes

• Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies

• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts, design patterns and continuous delivery principles

• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
