YOURROLE

The SVP/Head of Content Production is responsible for management of all aspects of content production at Craft North America, a key region in our growing global content network at McCann Worldgroup. This individual will lead a team of Producers, Shooters, Editors and full execution of content within the region. She/he is responsible for overseeing our growing practice of content production from start to finish, including budgeting, timeline, staffing, production, post production, and delivery.

YOURRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, grow and oversee content production scopes, resources and workflow

  • Responsible for executing high quality content at low-cost in a quick, agile creative environment

  • Direct and manage our content team, both in their day-to-day responsibilities and in their ongoing career development

  • Partner with IPG agencies and direct clients to grow and execute projects

  • Streamline and manage content production onshore, near-shore and offshore across all accounts

  • Analysis content production operations, streamline and improve workflows, processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

  • Improve studio business process, expand capabilities & workflow through technology, and drive incremental production revenues

  • Manage staff, performance reviews and mentor career growth

  • Collaborate with McCann Worldgroup and IPG creative agencies to direct work through to Craft instead of to external third-party suppliers

  • Work with closely with Agency finance to develop contracts and agreements

  • Manage and lead new business opportunities

  • Monitor and manage the ongoing financial performance of Craft North America against agreed projections and forecasts (including revenues, profit margins and other key performance metrics)

  • Develop and maintain rate cards that ensure continued competitiveness against the marketplace

  • Create budgets and forecasts as required within the McCann Worldgroup financial cycle

  • Monitor all financial metrics related to production staffing – billability, utilization, investment allocations and revenue forecasts

  • Assist with organizational restructuring efforts, casting, forecasting and talent management

  • Partner with the MD, CFO, HR department and other global Craft offices to optimize all staffing activities within the production group – open hires, rotation planning, freelance management and vendor management

  • Stay abreast of new developing digital production technologies

  • Collaborate with other Craft global offices to optimize finance performance and talent/capabilities utilization

  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREDSKILLS

  • Must have at least 15+ years of experience production, post production experience, minimum five years at studio, network, agency, production company

  • Strong business acumen to support the daily financial management and strategic commercial vision of the organization

  • Must have agency production experience

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Must have project management/program management experience

  • Must be a competent leader, teacher and mentor for others

  • Experienced collaborator with creative agencies and offshore production facilities

  • Ability to mine and secure additional direct client relationships beyond those supplied through creative agencies.
