Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:

The duties of the consulting resources would be to plan, create, modify, test and implement code in support of any of the following:

  • Develop Oracle stored procedure, packages, and triggers

  • Develop batch application using .net, oracle

  • Plan and design the structure of a technology solution

  • Communicate software requirements to app dev team members

  • Develop software with modern web development frameworks

  • Provide technical leadership for the PHS App Dev team

The consultant will adhere to NYSIF’s application development standards, including, but not limited to, project management methodology, SDLC (software development life cycle), Enterprise Architecture standards and the IT governance process

Position Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in development, support and implementation of software related to policy administration and maintenance for Workers Compensation and Disability insurance.

  • 7 years of experience in development, support and implementation of software related to policy billing and collection for Workers' Compensation Insurance and Disability Insurance

  • 7 years of experience in development, support and implementation of software related to policy premium calculation following the ratings guidelines for Workers' Compensation Insurance

  • 7 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL utilizing Packages, Types, Objects, Triggers and Advanced Queuing

  • 5 years of experience as a .Net application developer - TFS, visual studio with visual studio 2010 or newer.

  • 3 years of experience in oracle-based development to process Disability and Paid Family Leave insurance Payroll Reporting.

  • 3 years with Planview PPM Pro (formerly Innotas)
