Department: MCIT Telecommunications
The Sr. Tech II supports Telephone and Telecom systems in all NYU Langone HealthCare locations. The Sr. Tech II will also work on Add-Hoc Telecommunications projects, upgrades, outages and incident as required.
The Sr. Tech II is a Telecommunications skilled resources focused on delivering and supporting high quality Telephony solutions in our medical center enterprise.
Communications link between the NYULMC clients and the Telecom Department. Assist with P2 troubleshooting situations as they arise. Identify and evaluate different solution options and choose the best course of action to solve or stabilize the immediate incident.
Assist with Telephony training as needed in support of new systems installation or necessary refreshers classes designed to help clients become proficient
On-Call Rotation assignments in support of Outage Management. Including some night and weekend support of major implementations or major system refresh efforts
Manage Telecommunications vendors for the purpose of defining requirements, review proposals and assist with bid-leveling to facilitate final recommendation to Department head for approval and submittal to purchasing.
1.Requires 5-10 years of relevant experience or a BA/BS Degree or the equivalent learned job experience in the Telecom space.
2.Technical Skills and/or Certifications in the following core areas: Cisco CUCM, Cisco UCCX Call Center, Call Center Reporting, PSTN Trunks, SIP, Traffic Engineering, UHF, Pagers, Public Address, and legacy telephone TDM and Key Systems.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill set
- Strong Project Management Skills with PMP Preference
