A talented technician is sought for an exciting and high-impact project in Alzheimer's disease research.

Job Requirements:

-Previous experience with molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, qPCR, immunohistochemistry and cell culture.

-The ability to keep records in an orderly fashion.

-Self-motivation, with a personal desire to perform experiments well and obtain clear results.

Responsibilities include:

-Cell culture work, including differentiation and maintenance of a dedicated stem cell line, as well as harvesting and/or immunocytochemistry on said stem cells

-Cryostat sectioning and immunohistochemistry on brain sections from transgenic mouse lines

-Microscopy to characterize and quantify both immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry results

-RNA extraction of cells and tissues for RNA-sequencing and qPCR experiments

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or the equivalent in education, training and experience. One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.
