This position is responsible for managing all trim materials, pertaining to Calvin Klein Apparel and Performance Wear, and supporting PVH overseas office trim teams to ensure trim meets the quality and aesthetic expectations of the final product, at the best value, to drive top line profitable sales for our business units.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Work with offshore trim teams to onboard, maintain and refine trim supplier matrix, to include strategic suppliers that will deliver quality products at best value without compromising brands’ vision of innovation and newness, and vertical integration initiative
Build supplier partnerships to drive innovation and new technologies in trim materials
Attend line reviews with designers to understand trim requirements and lifestyle of the consumer;
Identify trim needs appropriate for the brand and work with Designers to ensure artwork/aesthetic vision for trim are being communicated in a clear manner
Develop and maintain trim library.
Manage trim development for brands, including managing the calendar, sourcing, sample tracking, and costing of trim
Provide technical expertise on assessing Potential risks in Product
Provide timely resolution to critical issues identified in the development cycle.
Facilitate and manage ongoing communication between Marketing, Design, Sales, and Global Supply Chain teams to maintain a unified brand voice; develop tools and processes for ongoing communication.
Develop Sustainable raw materials and processes that improve product and supply chain efficiency and align with company goals
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Experience: minimum 7 to 10 years in trim field in apparel industry
Performance/ Active Wear brand experience preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or industry experience that equates Skills: Knowledge of trim materials, manufacturing process; Communication, organization, problem solving, managing schedules, collaboration, Strategic thought, critical eye for quality
