Your Role and Responsibilities

UX Designer, Digital Business Automation

Thomas J. Watson said it best: “Good design is good business.” We take that to heart in our Digital Business Automation team. The UX Designer will envision and create the next generation of the IBM Digital Business Automation Studio, a platform for building, launching, and measuring intelligent automation experiences. The Digital Business Automation Studio crosses multiple industries and use cases in focus, and the User Experience Designer needs to identify, understand, and design towards trends in each industry. The UX Designer will also play a key role in going deeper to understand, explore, and solve how Artificial Intelligence capabilities can further empower our clients solving their recurring business problems.

This position requires a candidate who is comfortable solving undefined problems, can challenge the status quo, and can design for users in rapidly evolving markets. The ideal candidate for this role thrives as an individual contributor and is comfortable translating emerging IBM technologies into meaningful insights for product development. Candidates for this role should excel at advocating for the user, while communicating complex systems, existing pain points, and new user journeys to a wide variety of audiences.
