NY Employer Visual Special Projects Manager in New York, New York

Responsible for the execution of visual merchandising special projects throughout the US and Canada, for Directly Operated Stores (DOS), Leased and Wholesale, for new concept stores and renovated locations as well as for special projects including brand activations, visual installations, window installations, store openings, layout improvements, pop-up shops, showroom, events. Works in collaboration with, and serves as a liaison, between the regional office and stores and the Worldwide Visual Merchandising team. Conceptualizes and develops visual strategies for brand and store activations. Executes store set-ups following worldwide visual directives. Delegates and assigns tasks to two (2) supervisees according to their abilities. Applies understanding of regional needs and trends to adapt/substitute store set-ups accordingly. Collaborates with the Merchandising team to understand seasonal product strategies and merchandising initiatives. Stays apprised of the competitive landscape in terms of visual approach to events and projects. Acts as a liaison for cross-functional partners such as PR, Marketing, Special Events, Retail Operations and Merchandising to optimize projects goals as defined by the corporate office. Develops visual strategy for Merchandising Initiatives and works with district teams to implement. Implements and ensures visual displays and merchandising integrity leading up to and during event or projects duration. Partners with regional and store managers to effectively support current business trends with visual needs as they arise. Oversees and manages project budget as well as the teams travel budget provided by the corporate team. Prepares recaps from all store visits and completed projects to be shared with company headquarters. Domestic travel approximately 40% of the time to retail stores and international travel approximately 10% of the time to retail stores and European headquarters. Education and Experience Requirements: Masters degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and three (3) years of work experience in luxury retail multi-store Visual Merchandising. In the alternative we will accept a Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and five (5) years of work experience in luxury retail multi-store Visual Merchandising. Special Requirements: Experience in Rhino, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator); project and budget management experience.
