About the role
The Visual Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Regional Visual Manager to support our franchise partners to establish and maintain the visual aesthetic of the Gap Inc portfolio of brands. Ensure consistency of presentation in Retail Stores, Wholesale Shops and the Corporate showroom with the key priority of driving top line sales results. Is to partner with cross functional teams to ensure all visual strategies and execution supports both regional and wider global business strategies. This role has no direct reports but will support and coach franchisees in delivering on the Gap inc. visual proposition in order to drive the functional VM metrics of the VM Checklist Score and Mystore Adoption Result.
What you'll do
Review and validate floor plans, window mock ups and marketing production to support franchisee in successful planning of seasonal VM strategy. Review and validate photos/videos of partner execution and seasonal checklists; share results and feedback via RVM team or directly to franchisee to improve visual execution.
Provide seasonal coaching, training and guidance to support and develop skillset of franchisee VM teams in country. Has expert product knowledge and training skills.
Work hands on in the setup of the corporate showroom for seasonal market weeks across Gap and Banana Republic, which are held 4 (four) times per calendar year and attend weekly conference calls to support all visual communications and commercial trading strategies.
Use appropriate VM tools in line with brand thinking to train and develop region and country VM teams on visual standards, seasonal planning and execution. Knows store KPI’s and goals, how key markets are performing to those goals & has action plans in place to achieve results in areas of influence.
Maintain awareness of competitive retail landscape and react appropriately by providing visual solutions and any market share opportunities to drive regional results.
Focuses on supporting franchise partners to improve KPI performance through visual merchandising and effective in-season management of product presentations.
Understands retail math and uses sales data to validate and explain why product & shop layout moves take place; has ability to challenge and drive the in store visual proposition and strategy to maintain brand integrity while not compromising commerciality.
Who you are
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of International Franchise or Wholesale Visual Merchandising experience would be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of a similar retail environment with 5+ years of established visual merchandising experience at a Global Flagship or Top store level; multi-store experience is a plus.
Can effectively demonstrate a visual merchandising and creative skillset; Portfolio of work optional
Ability to train and coach teams in visual competency and best in class standards in a one to one setting or within a group forum. Has strength in coaching, influencing and building relationship skills across internal and external teams.
Strong attention to detail with emphasis on window design/displays, visual merchandising and styling. Able to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral; fluency in the Spanish language is a plus.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed. Must be able to & willing to travel domestically and internationally.
