Senior Analyst, Sales and Account Planning, MAC

This role reports into the Director of Sales Planning and is accountable for maintaining our internal door data base, sales reporting & co –leads the monthly estimate process. This position will partner with the Account Management & Finance Team & must have developed analytic skills, a strong business judgment, and a focus on detail. There will be heavy spreadsheet and data retrieval analytics using various systems. Strong database and project management skills & advanced excel skills are required.


Sales Planning/ Annual Budget

-Support the 3-year LRP and Annual budget process through preparing the following

-Prepare and issue templates to the Field to develop annual retail sales targets by Channel & door.

-Prepares the Budget for Gross to Net sales (testers, returns, B2M & discounts)

-Prepare & issues monthly retail sales estimate file on department store calendar (based on guidance from the monthly financial estimate).

-Calculate monthly field retail sales plans based on annual retail sales targets

Monthly Bonus

-Issues Monthly bonus targets to field

-Works with the compensation team to develop &and align on monthly field bonus store Bonus –

-Weekly and monthly issuance of results to the field

Monthly Estimate

-Prepare & calculate Monthly Estimate of Retails Sales by account / channel.

-Prepare Monthly Estimate of Gross to Net Sales (i.e. testers, returns, Back to MAC, discounts)

-Responsible to track new doors & closures. Completes door count file


-Compile, review and input weekly audited sales (DS sales from the Retailers & FSS sales from Retail Accounting) into Data Warehouse via the Field Sales Management tool. Modify field sales for delayed opening, add new doors and update door closures; reflect changes in FSM and update Plan Native.

-Compile and report retail audited sales results v PL and LY incl. weekly (WSR) and monthly (Comparative Sales Report)

-Maintain and evaluate FSS audited weekly sales, develop estimates for any missing doors (polling issues)


-Work with the Account & Sales Planning inventory Manager on the following:

-Maintain RTV/RA Log

-Track actual returns received vs RA #'s

-Develop monthly deductions estimate by category/country (returns, testers, B2M) for monthly revenue estimate.

-Analyze returns by category to ensure company is within reasonable percentages of net shipments and net retail sales.

-Prepare fiscal budget plan – all deductions calendarized by category/country /channel.

Data Maintenance

-Maintain Field Door Alignment files

-Compile high volumes of material data sets in Excel. Map, migrate, and validate data sets in system. Accountable for the integrity of all sales data in database

-Maintain internal database of door data including EL code, opening date, field hierarchy, monthly plan numbers

-Maintain daily history of promotions, weather activity, renovations

Ad Hoc

-Develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving decision making and information access

-Provide analysis & strategic insight requested by the Account Management Team



-3-4 years’ experience in an analytical position

-Strong Analytical and Business acumen

-Ability to analyze and manipulate large amount of data in excel

-Self-starter and ability to work independently

-Self-starter, adept at problem solving

-Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

-Flexible mindset, with the ability to shift focus, multi-task, and prioritize requirements
