Wayne ARC 1:1 Aide - Early Intervention - PT 12 hours/week in Newark, New York

Job Description: Aide an individual child to adjust to the classroom environment as well as assist the child to function adaptively within the class day and routine. Aides the classroom teacher/staff with daily activities in a 1:1 situation (gym, speech, physical or occupational therapy) field trips and outdoor events when necessary. Diapers, toilets and feeds child/children as well as dressing when necessary. Consistently follows through prescribed Behavior Plans.

Job Requirements: High School Diploma/GED. Experience with behaviorially or multiply challenged toddler/preschoolers (18 months-3 years old) desired. Requires physical agility to assist child/children who may be very active or physically challenged; lifting required. Must have acceptable results of background/reference checks.

Location: Roosevelt Children's Center, Newark, NY

Hours of Work: Monday through Thursday (7:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.) follows school calendar

Status: Part-time, Non-exempt
